Coastal Convention Center
Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Fontainebleau Miami Beach, South Florida’s iconic oceanfront luxury resort, will celebrate one of the most significant expansions in its seven-decade history with the opening of the all-new Coastal Convention Center in Q4 2024. Spanning five stories and 45,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art facility features a versatile, modern design to elevate customized business and leisure events – ranging from personal and intimate to grand, large-scale events – within Miami’s booming social and convention tourism industry.

As Fontainebleau prepares to celebrate 70 years of timeless design and unmatched style this year, the Coastal Convention Center marks a new chapter for the storied resort, ushering in a new era of events on the beach.

The interior of the Coastal Convention Center reflects Fontainebleau’s legacy of luxury, with decorative art and murals by Kevin Barry Art Advisory and Jean-Paul Philippe throughout. The Coastal Convention Center will feature a 16,500-square-foot divisible ballroom with an outdoor terrace; a 9,500-square-foot junior ballroom; 15 total meeting rooms; and 15,000-square-foot of pre-function space.

Jeffrey Beers International is incredibly excited to design Pier Sixty-Six, the social harbor of Fort Lauderdale that features an iconic spire-topped tower, amenities, marina, and an exceptional waterfront location. Upon entering, guests will engage in a world of intracoastal luxury where water, sun and resort sophistication are the inspiration for JBI’s coastal-themed hospitality design.

The essence of hospitality design – the feeling of being welcomed and carried away to a new and exciting world – has always inspired and driven our studio. We constantly strive to be bold, artistic, and striking in our hospitality design choices. The look and feel of Pier Sixty-Six perfectly exemplify that creative urge and determination.

HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO ATHENS

GREECE

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens, which is set to open in 2026, will be a unique destination in Europe combining a five-star luxury hotel, a world class gaming floor, a premier meeting and convention space, a state-of-the-art entertainment venue, internationally renowned food and beverage, luxurious Rock® Spa and Pool Complex, and a high-end retail promenade.

“We are thrilled to announce the partnership with GEK TERNA Group and further expand Hard Rock’s reach across the globe in the great City of Athens,” said Jim Allen, Hard Rock International Chairman. “This development will bring over 3,000 permanent jobs to the people of Greece and we look forward to bring our unique brand of entertainment and provide an unparalleled experience for guests of all ages.”

The design of the project draws its inspiration from basic Greek elements such as the sea, the arts and ancient mythology, which it combines with the modern requirements of architecture and the inescapable need for harmonious integration of the project in its environment and location. Open spaces, gardens and water features are key elements of the project’s design, with total green open space covering close to 205,000 m2.

The central Tower draws its inspiration from nautical references, incorporating in its design the waves, the sails and the lighthouse. Built on three levels, the Tower has three different orientations corresponding to the reference points located within the imaginary triangle that is formed around the project: the Acropolis, the sea and Mount Hymettus. Its iconic shape will serve as a symbol of the region and reference the importance of the connection between land, sea and sky.

Miami is growing rapidly and the demand for eye-catching and thoughtfully designed apartment complexes is incredibly high. For this specific condominium, we were asked by ownership to bring our experience to create a hospitality feel across the Lobby, Chef’s Kitchen, Entertainment Lounge, and Library. The modern design is both warm and approachable. The soft color palette is a nod to Florida’s sunshine and coastline, while the pairing of white oak and soft brass speak to the city’s sparkling energy.
