We’ve brought our proven track record in world-class hospitality to partner with Costa and Tihany Design on Costa Smeralda, our first project for an Italian audience. Together we’ve designed a multitude of hospitality spaces, including a culinary market, restaurants, bars, and even a casino. We enhanced the hospitality experience while staying true to the mantra “the best of Italy,” providing a true sense of place that puts guests right in the center of Italy.
At JBI we always think first about the experience: how people will feel when they enter a space. We’ve designed with this in mind – how the hospitality spaces balance between Costa’s surrounding views of the water and coastlines, as well as, how Italian culture and design is honored and exemplified. This balance breaks away from the traditional cruise experience and creates a feeling of belonging.
We couldn’t be more excited and thrilled to be part of Costa Smeralda. Personally, we love Italian style: the harmonious balance between boldness, color and originality, and elegance, tailoring, and style.
