Gotham Market at The Ashland

Located in Brooklyn’s thriving cultural district, JBI designed this 16,000sf market to highlight each of the eight drinking and dining destinations. An industrial chic material palette of concrete, blackened metal, red brick and white tiles unifies the expansive space. A series of custom designed black steel pipe chandeliers, featuring 180 hand blown glass globes, preside over the Market and enliven the 26-foot-high ceilings.

JBI Wins at the International Hotel & Property Awards

design et al is delighted to share with you the exciting news that Jeffrey Beers International won Hotel Suite in the Americas & Caribbean Categories for Renaissance New York Midtown at The International Hotel & Property Awards 2017. The publishing house, based in the UK, hosts three major design awards each year. The awards were hosted in the incredible Hotel Caruso, Ravello on Friday 23rd June 2017, this beautiful setting was a perfect location for the prestigious event. With projects submitted from all over the globe, the night was a mixture of international names in the design community and a brilliant networking event for all involved. Around 9,000 verified votes were counted and an average voter spent 30 minutes looking at the shortlisted projects. The evening was a celebration of design and a truly remarkable event, with the success and brilliant feedback of the clients, the team at design et al are looking forward to hosting the 2018 awards next year.

Inside JBI's First Model Apartment for One West End

Our first residential tower, One West End, has just unveiled its first model apartment! Follow CURBED NEW YORK as they take a first exclusive look at JBI’s interior architecture and design of the unit. The condo’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer dramatic views of the Hudson River with Bjarke Ingels’ west side tetrahedron on the left. The kitchen, which is just beyond the living room, is the focal point of the condo. Details include marble slab counter-tops (either in Vagli Fine Vein or Calacatta Borghini) and appliances by Miele, Wolf, Gaggenau, and Sub-Zero. The kitchen’s finishing and features, including a neat integrated cutting board, were all created by the Italian company, Scavolini.

GORDON RAMSAY ANNOUNCES “HELL’S KITCHEN” RESTAURANT AT CAESARS PALACE LAS VEGAS

Celebrated multi-Michelin star chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay announced live his plans for the first-of its-kind Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen located at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, set to open this winter. We recently celebrated the opening of Gotham Market at The Ashland pictured above. Food + Design: New York’s Food Halls

Jeffrey Beers and his colleague Kristin Franzese of The Plaza spoke about The Plaza Food Hall, in a panel event celebrating the dynamic food halls of New York City.
