Gotham Market at The Ashland

Located in Brooklyn’s thriving cultural district, JBI designed this 16,000sf market to highlight each of the eight drinking and dining destinations. An industrial chic material palette of concrete, blackened metal, red brick and white tiles unifies the expansive space. A series of custom designed black steel pipe chandeliers, featuring 180 hand blown glass globes, preside over the Market and enliven the 26-foot-high ceilings.

Sequoia Shortlisted, SBID International Design Awards

Sequoia Restaurant has been shortlisted for Best Restaurant Design by the prestigious Society of British and International Design Awards. Winning a SBID award is a high achievement – they are evaluated by leading industry experts for their technical content and aesthetic creativity while the design-conscious public also has a say in choosing the most inspiring projects. The Awards ceremony will be held at London’s The Dorchester on October 26th. 



Danlu, Americas Restaurant Shortlisted

Britain’s Restaurant & Bar Design Awards have shortlisted Philadelphia restaurant, Danlu, for Best Restaurant in the Americas. Now in its tenth year, the globally recognized competition is dedicated to the design of food and beverage spaces.  The Awards ceremony will be held at London’s King’s Cross on the 4th October 2018.

DesignBoom Explains the Concept Behind Nomad's Newest Tower, 277 Fifth

In March 2018, the developers behind ‘277 fifth’ announced that the project had topped out at a height of 663 feet (202 meters). The tower, designed by Rafael Viñoly is being developed by Victor Group and Lendlease, with Shokai serving as the project’s preferred equity investor. The high-rise features four loggias — sheltered, double-height, open-air spaces for leisure and entertaining. Meanwhile, three penthouses — situated on the tower’s uppermost floors — each contain four-bedrooms with ceiling heights in excess of 13 feet and expansive living, dining, and family rooms. JBI Renovates Iconic DC Eatery Sequoia

New York-based design firm Jeffrey Beers International completed its renovation of the Washington, DC eatery Sequoia, one of the city’s famed waterfront restaurants. Set upon the banks of the Potomac River, the redesign draws inspiration from the personal art collection of Michael Weinstein, the founder of Ark Restaurant, which manages Sequoia. Artwork from Isidro Blasco and Arnie Quinze enhance the character of the interior upon arrival. The design is also punctuated with an expansive lighting installation by Hitoshi Kuriyama, which comprises 913 custom glass and 200 neon tubes suspended across more than 125 feet of the main dining room. Upgrading The Perfect New York Steakhouse

Forbes covers the redesign of Porter House Bar & Grill in the Time Warner Center. Interior architecture and design firm Jeffrey Beers International designed the original Porter House in 2006 and its subsequent top-to-bottom redesign in 2016—coinciding with an updated menu—in close consultation with Chef Michael Lomonaco. The redesign resulted in new flooring, new textures and materials, a snazzy new color scheme, new lighting, new chairs and new banquettes, not to mention the new, heftier name of Porter House Bar & Grill. China's Newest Luxury Resort Atlantis Sanya Opens on Hainan Island

​Forbes covers the opening of the Atlantis Resort’s newest location in the resort town of Sanya located on the Chinese island of Hainan. The resort’s interior design in the work of Jeffrey Beers International and is meant to evoke a contemporary vision of what the mythical city of Atlantis might have looked like. The innovative design blends modern aesthetics and sea-inspired imagery with elements from Sanya’s rich culture, giving the resort the enchanting look and feel of an aquatic paradise. Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen Turns Up the Heat in Las Vegas

​Hospitality Design magazine features the dining boom in Las Vegas, with Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace featured as a not-to-miss destination. “We created an experimental and immersive destination restaurant where guests will feel transported to the studio set of the popular show,” says Jeffrey Beers, founder and CEO of the New York-based design firm, Jeffrey Beers International, which was responsible for the bespoke design of this popular restaurant.

New Wyndham Hotels guestrooms emphasize wellness

​Hotel Management features the launch of the newly-designed Wyndham guestrooms. “Last year, we embarked on a journey to define the new guestroom design for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts,” says Noelle Nicolai, ‎senior director, brand marketing upscale & lifestyle brands at ‎Wyndham Hotel Group. Atlantis Sanya Set to Fully Open April 28, 2018

Atlantis Sanya, the first Atlantis resort in China, will fully open to the public on April 28, 2018. You Can Now Live in the Historic Tribeca Clock Tower

Architectural Digest reports that the Italian Renaissance Revival clock tower in Tribeca, originally designed in 1894 by McKim, Mead & White, has been transformed by designer Jeffrey Beers. Opening in early 2019, the building posed such interior challenges as a landmarked lobby and atypical interior configuration, but Beers set out with a goal in mind: “Complement the history of the building and contrast it harmoniously” with contemporary details. ​After moving interior walls, Beers designed historic details like custom base, crown, and wainscot molding to create a dialogue with contemporary living spaces, amenities, and furnishings.
