JBI was asked by Omni Hotels to renovate their Oklahoma City property’s restaurant, Bob’s Steak & Chop House, and bar, OKC Tap House. Influenced by the Oklahoma standard of hospitality, the designs embody an approachable and comfortable yet luxurious urban oasis.
Bob’s Steak & Chop House’s design is an artistic balance between the restaurant’s iconic branding and our homages to Oklahoma’s history and to Americana aesthetic. Inspired by the land rush, cattle drives, and the local country western music scene, we chose art that referenced the local culture and traditions. The restaurant therefore feels distinctly mid-Western while remaining visually on brand with Bob’s. Size: 4,793 sf Seats: 185
Inspired by the vernacular architecture of the Midwest, OKC Tap House is a sports bar that has a defined weathered industrial vibe to its look and feel. Design homages to the OKC Thunder NBA Team can be found through the multi-level space, such as reclaimed basketball court flooring on the bar face. In essence, the place is ideal for watching a good game within true Oklahoma hospitality – live country music and all. Size: 8,224 sf Seats: 304
